2002–03 Division 1 season (Swedish ice hockey)
The 2002–03 Division 1 season was the fourth season of Sweden's third-tier ice hockey league under that name. It was composed of four groups (A, B, C, and D), each containing ten teams. Teams played a round-robin schedule within their respective groups. Following the initial group stage, teams were seeded into Allsvenskan qualifying rounds (Allsvenskan Norra and Allsvenskan Södra) based on their performance. The top teams from each group qualified for these Allsvenskan qualifying rounds, with the goal of earning promotion to the HockeyAllsvenskan. The remaining teams continued play in their respective Division 1 groups, participating in relegation rounds to avoid dropping to Division 2. Promotion and relegation between Division 1 and Division 2 was determined by playoff series at the end of the season.
