Ilovlya
Ilovlya is a settlement (urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Ilovlya District in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. It is located on the Ilovlya River, a tributary of the Don River, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Volgograd.
The settlement's history dates back to the late 19th century, associated with the construction of a railway line. Ilovlya developed as a railway station and associated settlement. The name "Ilovlya" is derived from the Ilovlya River.
Economically, Ilovlya is a regional center with enterprises related to agriculture, food processing, and railway services. The surrounding district is primarily agricultural.
Ilovlya has basic infrastructure, including schools, a hospital, a cultural center, and shops. The population is primarily Russian.
