Tall Stories (band)

Tall Stories was a progressive rock band formed in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. They are known for their intricate compositions, technically proficient musicianship, and theatrical stage performances.

The band's lineup consisted of Gary Sandford (guitars), Jon 'J.C.' Camp (bass, vocals), Tony Brock (drums), and occasionally various keyboard players. They released two studio albums, "Tall Stories" (1982) and "Skyscraper" (1983). Their music incorporated elements of hard rock, art rock, and progressive rock, drawing comparisons to bands such as Rush and Yes.

Despite critical acclaim and a dedicated following, Tall Stories did not achieve widespread commercial success. Following the release of "Skyscraper," the band members pursued other musical projects. Tony Brock joined Rod Stewart's band, while J.C. Camp continued to work as a session musician and composer.

Although Tall Stories' original run was brief, their music has continued to be appreciated by fans of progressive rock. Their albums remain available on CD and digitally, and they are occasionally featured on progressive rock radio stations.
