John Q. Adams (Wisconsin politician)
John Q. Adams (1904-1991) was an American politician and jurist from Wisconsin. He served as a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Kenosha County, and later as a Wisconsin Circuit Court Judge.
Born in Linden, Wisconsin, Adams received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He was elected to the Assembly in 1940 and served multiple terms, eventually becoming Speaker of the Assembly in 1953. His legislative work focused on issues related to agriculture and conservation.
Following his time in the Assembly, Adams was appointed as a circuit court judge for Kenosha County. He served in this role for several years, presiding over a wide range of legal cases. He was known for his fair and impartial judgments.
Adams was a prominent figure in Wisconsin politics during the mid-20th century, contributing to both the legislative and judicial branches of the state government.
