Rubén Paz

Rubén Paz (born June 26, 1959) is a former Uruguayan footballer. He played primarily as an attacking midfielder and was known for his skillful dribbling, precise passing, and powerful shot.

Paz began his professional career with Peñarol in Uruguay, where he won multiple league titles and the Copa Libertadores in 1987. He then moved to Racing Club in Argentina, becoming a key player and a fan favorite. He also played for other clubs including Genoa in Italy, Internacional in Brazil, and Dundee United in Scotland.

Internationally, Paz represented Uruguay in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. He was a prominent member of the Uruguayan national team throughout the 1980s and is considered one of the greatest players in Uruguayan football history.

After retiring from professional football, Paz has been involved in coaching and football management. He remains a respected figure in South American football.
