Taishir
Taishir is a sum (district) in Govi-Altai Province in western Mongolia. It is situated in the Altai Mountains and is known for its harsh, arid climate and sparse population. The sum center is also called Taishir. The economy is primarily based on animal husbandry, particularly raising goats, sheep, and camels. The landscape consists of rugged mountains, steppe, and desert. The region experiences significant temperature variations between summer and winter. Access to water resources is a key factor influencing settlement patterns and livestock management practices.
