Milton Goldstein (film executive)
Milton Goldstein was an American film executive best known for his long career at Allied Artists Pictures Corporation. He joined Allied Artists (then Monogram Pictures) in the 1940s and held various executive positions, ultimately becoming Vice President and General Sales Manager.
Goldstein was instrumental in the distribution and marketing of numerous films, including lower-budget genre pictures as well as higher-profile releases undertaken by Allied Artists as they sought to elevate their status in the industry. His responsibilities involved overseeing domestic and international sales, as well as managing the studio's distribution network.
He remained with Allied Artists through its changing fortunes and eventual decline in the late 1970s, contributing significantly to the studio's business operations for several decades. Goldstein's tenure at Allied Artists represents a significant period in the history of independent film distribution.
