Syndeton

Syndeton is a literary device and rhetorical figure of speech characterized by the use of conjunctions (e.g., "and," "or," "but") between each item in a series. This is in contrast to asyndeton, which omits conjunctions to create a faster pace or sense of immediacy. The effect of syndeton is to slow the pace, emphasize each item in the series, and potentially create a sense of deliberation or overwhelming accumulation.
