Summer of Love (album)
Summer of Love is the title of several different musical albums by different artists. The term references the Summer of Love, a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967, when as many as 100,000 people, mostly young, converged in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, creating a phenomenon of cultural and political change. The term embodies the hippie movement and related counterculture. Due to the term's widespread cultural association, it is a popular album title. Because of the ambiguity and potential for multiple albums to exist under this name, it is important to specify the artist when discussing a particular Summer of Love album. Without artist attribution, it is difficult to determine which specific album is being referenced.
