Jim Hubbard (baseball)
James Edward Hubbard (born November 18, 1954) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves (1978-1985), Cleveland Indians (1985-1987), and Oakland Athletics (1988).
Hubbard was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 5th round of the 1976 MLB draft. He primarily worked as a relief pitcher throughout his career. His best season was arguably 1982 with the Braves, where he posted a 1.60 ERA in 42 appearances. Over his MLB career, Hubbard had a record of 27 wins and 21 losses with 22 saves and a 3.53 ERA.
After his playing career, Hubbard became a pitching coach.
