Nunn (crater)
Nunn is a small lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located just beyond the southwestern outer rim of the huge walled plain Hertzsprung. To the west-northwest of Nunn is the crater Fridman.
Nunn is a relatively unremarkable crater, with a somewhat eroded rim and a slightly uneven interior floor. Its shape is roughly circular, though minor impacts along the rim have created some irregularities. The crater lacks a central peak.
The crater is named after Joseph Nunn, an American astronomer. It was officially named by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1970.
