Stuart Williams (footballer)
Stuart Williams (born 9 July 1962) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a defender.
Williams began his career at Wrexham in 1981, making over 100 appearances for the club. He then moved to West Bromwich Albion in 1984, where he also became a regular in the team, playing for them until 1989. After West Brom, he joined Swansea City. He later played for Hereford United, Exeter City, and Kidderminster Harriers before retiring from professional football.
Williams also represented Wales at international level, earning 42 caps between 1986 and 1997. He was known for his solid defensive play and commitment. After his playing career, Williams worked as a coach and manager, including a stint as manager of Welsh Premier League side Rhyl.
