Sisakyan (crater)
Sisakyan is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the east of the crater Spencer Jones and northwest of the crater Paraskevopoulos.
This crater is a relatively well-defined feature, although its rim has been somewhat eroded by subsequent small impacts. The inner walls slope down evenly to the interior floor, with some minor terraces and slump features visible. The interior floor is relatively level with a small central peak located near the midpoint.
Sisakyan lies within the Mare Australe basin.
The crater is named after Soviet Armenian biochemist Norair Martirosovich Sisakyan (1907-1966).
