Carlos Álvarez (born 1966) is a prominent Cuban-Spanish operatic baritone renowned for his interpretations of roles in the Italian and Spanish operatic repertoire, particularly Verdi and verismo works. He is widely recognized for his powerful voice, commanding stage presence, and dramatic intensity.

Álvarez began his musical studies in Cuba before moving to Spain, where he continued his vocal training at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. His professional debut was in 1992.
