HNoMS Uredd (P41)

HNoMS Uredd (P41) was a Kobben-class submarine of the Royal Norwegian Navy. Built by Rheinstahl Nordseewerke in Emden, West Germany, she was commissioned in 1967. Uredd, meaning "Fearless" in Norwegian, was part of a class of 15 submarines that served as the backbone of the Norwegian submarine fleet for several decades.

The Kobben class was based on the German Type 205 submarine and designed for operations in the shallow, complex coastal waters of Norway. Uredd and her sister ships were primarily used for surveillance, anti-surface warfare, and training purposes. These submarines were known for their quiet operation and maneuverability.

Over the course of her service life, Uredd participated in numerous exercises and patrols, both domestic and international. She underwent modernization programs to extend her operational lifespan and enhance her capabilities.

Uredd was decommissioned in 1998, along with several other Kobben-class submarines, as the Royal Norwegian Navy transitioned to a new generation of submarines. Following decommissioning, she was sold for scrap.
