Silas (Portuguese footballer)

Silas, whose full name is Jorge Manuel Rebelo Fernandes, (born September 26, 1976) is a Portuguese football manager and former professional player.

As a player, Silas operated primarily as a central midfielder. He was known for his technical ability, passing range, and tactical awareness. Throughout his career, he played for several prominent Portuguese clubs, including União de Leiria, Belenenses, Marítimo, Sporting CP, and Vitória de Guimarães. He also had stints playing abroad, notably in England for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Silas earned caps for the Portugal national team, representing his country in international competitions.
