Fredonia (automobile)
The Fredonia was an American automobile manufactured in Youngstown, Ohio from 1921 to 1922 by the Fredonia Motor Car Company. The company was a short-lived venture aiming to produce a high-quality, relatively inexpensive car.
The Fredonia was offered in several open body styles, including a touring car and a roadster. It featured a six-cylinder engine and a conventional chassis design for the era. While aiming for a broader market, the car was marketed as possessing qualities typically found in more expensive vehicles.
Despite ambitious plans and initial production, the Fredonia Motor Car Company faced financial difficulties, likely due to the post-World War I economic climate and competitive pressure from established manufacturers. Production ceased in 1922, and the Fredonia automobile is considered a rare and obscure marque in automotive history. Few examples are known to exist today.
