Shuwaikh
Shuwaikh is a coastal area located within the Al Asimah Governorate (Capital Governorate) of Kuwait. It encompasses both a residential area and a significant industrial zone.
Residential Area: Shuwaikh includes residential neighborhoods characterized by villas and apartments. Historically, it was one of the earlier developed residential areas of Kuwait City.
Industrial Area: The Shuwaikh Industrial Area is a major hub for various industries, businesses, and warehouses. It plays a crucial role in Kuwait's economy, housing manufacturing facilities, workshops, and commercial activities.
Shuwaikh Port: Notably, Shuwaikh is also home to one of Kuwait's primary seaports, the Shuwaikh Port (also known as Kuwait Port). This port is vital for the import and export of goods, contributing significantly to the country's international trade. It handles diverse cargo, including containers, vehicles, and general goods.
Infrastructure: The area is well-connected to the rest of Kuwait through a network of roads and highways. Essential services such as hospitals, schools, and shopping centers are also present within Shuwaikh or in close proximity.
