Qasim Khan (Mir Bahr)

Qasim Khan served as the Mir Bahr, or Admiral of the Mughal fleet, during the reign of Emperor Jahangir. He is primarily known for his role in the siege of Kangra Fort in 1620. He was appointed to the command of the Mughal forces tasked with capturing the strategic fort, which had long resisted Mughal attempts at conquest. Qasim Khan played a significant part in the eventual success of the siege, contributing to the expansion of Mughal control in the region.
