Shroug

A shroug (sometimes misspelled as "shrog") is a term primarily found within online fantasy role-playing games (RPGs), particularly massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). It generally refers to a low-level, often weak, and commonly encountered enemy. Shrougs are typically designed to be easily defeated by new players, serving as an introduction to combat mechanics and a source of early experience points and loot.
