Sebastian Schmidt (rower)

Sebastian Schmidt (born June 6, 1985) is a German rower. He is a two-time Olympian, competing in the men's eight at the 2008 Beijing Olympics where the German team finished 8th, and at the 2012 London Olympics where the German team won the gold medal. He has also achieved multiple successes at the World Rowing Championships, including gold in the men's eight in 2009 and silver in 2010 and 2011. Schmidt’s career also includes medals at various World Rowing Cups. He is known for his participation and achievements in the highly competitive German men's eight rowing program.
