Saná Gomes (footballer, born 1999)

Saná Gomes (born 15 January 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. While having represented Portugal at youth international levels, he currently represents Guinea-Bissau.

Career

Gomes began his youth career with Benfica, later joining the Sporting CP academy. He also spent time with Oliveirense.

He made his professional debut for Leixões S.C. in the Liga Portugal 2 on 13 August 2017, against Real S.C.

International Career

Born in Portugal to Bissau-Guinean parents, Gomes represented Portugal at various youth levels, including the Portugal U17, U18, U19, and U20 teams.

In March 2023, Gomes switched his international allegiance to represent Guinea-Bissau. He received his first call-up and subsequently debuted for the Guinea-Bissau national team.
