Quadrio (Prague)
Quadrio is a modern commercial and office complex located in Prague, Czech Republic, near Národní třída (National Avenue). It occupies a significant city block and incorporates the historical building of the former Spálená 21 Palace, which was carefully integrated into the new development.
The Quadrio complex features offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and residential apartments. A prominent feature is the kinetic sculpture by David Černý, consisting of several independently rotating segments forming a giant head. The artwork, officially named Metalmorphosis, is a popular tourist attraction and a notable landmark within the complex.
The architecture of Quadrio blends modern design with respect for the historical context of the area. The development aimed to revitalize the surrounding urban environment and provide a mixed-use space for both work and leisure. The project was designed with sustainability principles in mind, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and green spaces.
Quadrio is easily accessible via public transport, being situated near Národní třída metro station and tram stops. Its central location and diverse offerings make it a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
