Samuel Johnson (footballer, born 1984)

Samuel Johnson (born 25 July 1984) is a Sierra Leonean former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Johnson began his career with Kallon F.C. in Sierra Leone. He then moved to Europe, playing for GAIS in Sweden, before spells with Turkish clubs Bursaspor and Kayseri Erciyesspor. He later played for Ismaily SC in Egypt and returned to Sweden with IK Sirius.

A Sierra Leone international, Johnson made numerous appearances for his country, participating in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaigns and other international matches. His career was often punctuated by periods of success followed by injury setbacks and changes in club.
