Sam Hentges (ice hockey)
Sam Hentges (born July 9, 1999) is an American professional ice hockey player. He currently plays as a forward for the Cleveland Monsters in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Hentges played college hockey for the St. Cloud State Huskies, where he was a key contributor and known for his playmaking ability and defensive responsibility. Prior to St. Cloud State, he played junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Tri-City Storm.
Hentges was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. After completing his college career, he signed an entry-level contract with the Cleveland Monsters, the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, and began his professional career.
