Saint Francis School (Hawaii)
Saint Francis School was a Catholic, college preparatory school for girls located in Mānoa Valley, Honolulu, Hawaii. Established in 1924 by the Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis, the school was dedicated to providing a well-rounded education rooted in Franciscan values. The curriculum focused on academics, spiritual growth, and service to the community.
The school offered a range of programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, visual and performing arts, and various extracurricular activities. Saint Francis School emphasized small class sizes and a personalized learning environment. The school mascot was the Saints.
After nearly a century of operation, Saint Francis School closed its doors at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year due to declining enrollment and financial challenges. The closure marked the end of an era for Catholic education in Hawaii. The former campus was subsequently repurposed for other educational initiatives.
