Ben Johnson (basketball)

Ben Johnson is a former American college basketball player and coach. He is currently the head men's basketball coach at the University of Minnesota.

Johnson played college basketball at Northwestern University and the University of Minnesota, where he was a two-year starter.

After his playing career, Johnson began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota. He then held assistant coaching positions at the University of Dayton, the University of Nebraska, and Xavier University. He served as the head coach at Texas–Pan American (now UTRGV) from 2005 to 2008. He then served as an assistant coach at Iowa State University before being named the head coach at the University of Minnesota in 2021.
