Chris Hayes (politician)

Christopher "Chris" P. Hayes is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 51st district, representing the towns of Putnam, Thompson, and Killingly. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Hayes has served in the Connecticut House since 2011. He currently serves on several committees, including the Appropriations Committee, the Education Committee, and the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee. His legislative priorities often focus on issues relating to education, economic development, and supporting small businesses in his district.

Prior to his service in the state legislature, Hayes was involved in local community initiatives and served on the Putnam Board of Education. He holds a degree in political science.
