Roulletia
Roulletia is a genus of South American birds in the family Odontophoridae, the New World quail. It contains only one recognized species: the bearded wood partridge ( Roulletia bonapartei). The genus is distinguished by its limited distribution in the Andes mountains and the distinctive, beard-like feathering on the throat and upper breast of the bearded wood partridge. Taxonomically, Roulletia represents a monotypic genus, indicating its unique evolutionary lineage within the Odontophoridae family.
