Balachaur

Balachaur is a town and a municipal council in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district (formerly known as Nawanshahr district) of the Indian state of Punjab. It is located approximately 25 kilometers from the district headquarters, Nawanshahr. Balachaur is situated in the foothills of the Sivalik Hills.

The town serves as a tehsil headquarters, meaning it is an administrative division with its own set of government offices and officials responsible for local governance and revenue collection.
