Ronen Sen

Ronen Sen (born 31 January 1944) is an Indian diplomat. He served as India's Ambassador to the United States from 2004 to 2009, a period marked by significant progress in Indo-US relations, including the negotiation of the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Agreement.

Prior to his ambassadorship to the United States, Sen served as India's Ambassador to Russia (1992-1998), Germany (1998-2000), and Mexico (2000-2002). His distinguished career in the Indian Foreign Service spanned several decades, during which he held various key positions in the Ministry of External Affairs and in Indian missions abroad. He is known for his extensive knowledge of international affairs, his diplomatic skills, and his role in shaping India's foreign policy.

Following his retirement from the Indian Foreign Service, Sen has been involved in academia and business.
