Kyle Mills (author)
Kyle Mills is an American author of thriller novels. He is best known for continuing the Mitch Rapp series created by Vince Flynn after Flynn's death in 2013.
Mills was born in 1966 and grew up in Oregon. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Portland State University. Before becoming a full-time author, he worked in the banking industry.
Mills began his writing career with several stand-alone thrillers, including Rising Storm (1996), Storming Heaven (1998), Free Fall (2000), The Second Horseman (2003), Darkness Falls (2007), and Burn Factor (2009). These novels often feature themes of political corruption, corporate greed, and environmental destruction.
In 2015, Mills took over the Mitch Rapp series, beginning with The Survivor. Subsequent Mitch Rapp novels written by Mills include Order to Kill (2016), Enemy of the State (2017), Red War (2018), Lethal Agent (2019), Total Power (2020), Enemy at the Gates (2021), Code Red (2022), and Oath of Loyalty (2023). He is credited with maintaining the core characteristics of the Rapp character while also bringing his own style and contemporary concerns to the series.
Mills resides in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with his family.
