Wąbiewo
Wąbiewo is a town in Golub-Dobrzyń County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. It is located approximately 18 kilometers (11 mi) southeast of Golub-Dobrzyń and 37 kilometers (23 mi) east of Toruń. As of 2021, its population was approximately 2,300.
Historically, Wąbiewo has a documented history dating back to the medieval period. It served as a local administrative and trading center. The town features a parish church and has experienced various periods of growth and decline throughout its history, often tied to the economic conditions of the surrounding agricultural region. The area surrounding Wąbiewo is primarily agricultural. Wąbiewo is also the seat of the administrative district called Gmina Wąbiewo, though the Gmina office is located in nearby Płużnica.
