Charles Horner (diplomat)

Charles Horner (born August 28, 1936, died April 21, 2018) was an American diplomat and government official known for his work in arms control and labor policy. He served in various roles during the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, including as head of the United States Information Agency (USIA) and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Labor Affairs.

Horner's career encompassed academic pursuits and public service. He held positions at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Hudson Institute, contributing to policy debates on defense, economics, and foreign affairs. He was often associated with neoconservative viewpoints.
