Mônica (footballer, born 1987)
Mônica Hickmann Alves, commonly known as Mônica, (born April 21, 1987) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a centre-back for Madrid CFF and the Brazil women's national football team.
Mônica began her professional career in Brazil before moving to Europe to play for FCF Rosengård in Sweden. She later played for Ferroviária and Orlando Pride. She has represented Brazil in multiple FIFA Women's World Cups and Olympic Games, winning a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Mônica is known for her strong defensive abilities, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities on the field.
