Ris (station)

Ris is a railway station located in Ris, Norway. It is situated on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro.

The station serves the residential area of Ris in the district of Vestre Aker, Oslo. It is an above-ground station with two side platforms. Access is provided by stairs and ramps.

Ris station opened on 24 January 1933 as part of the extension of the Røa Line from Majorstuen to Røa. The line was originally a tram line, but was converted to a metro line in 1995.

The station is served by Line 2 of the Oslo Metro, which operates every 15 minutes during regular hours, increasing in frequency during peak periods.

Adjacent stations are Steinerud to the east and Vinderen to the west.
