Seberg

Seberg was the surname of Jean Seberg (1938-1979), an American actress who lived much of her later life in France. She is best known for her roles in the French New Wave cinema, particularly her performance in Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless (1960). Seberg also starred in Hollywood films such as Saint Joan (1957), Lilith (1964), and Airport (1970). Her career was significantly impacted by the FBI's COINTELPRO program, which targeted her due to her support of the Black Panther Party. This surveillance and harassment led to severe emotional distress and contributed to her eventual suicide. Her life and death have been the subject of numerous biographies, documentaries, and films, including the 2019 film Seberg starring Kristen Stewart.
