East Twin River (Wisconsin)
The East Twin River is a river located in northeastern Wisconsin, United States. It is one of two rivers that combine to form the Twin River, the other being the West Twin River. The confluence of the East and West Twin Rivers is located in the city of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, which is situated on the western shore of Lake Michigan.
The East Twin River flows generally eastward through Manitowoc County. Its watershed primarily consists of agricultural land and forested areas. The river's course meanders through several communities before reaching its confluence with the West Twin River.
The river is used for recreational activities such as fishing and kayaking, though agricultural runoff and other pollution sources can impact water quality. Local conservation efforts aim to improve water quality and habitat along the East Twin River. The river is part of the larger Lake Michigan watershed.
