Mucky Pup
Mucky Pup was a funk metal band formed in Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1985. They are known for their humorous lyrics, blend of heavy metal and funk influences, and energetic live performances.
The band's core lineup throughout much of their career consisted of Chris Milnes (vocals), Dan Nastasi (guitar), Sean Mclaughlin (bass), and John Milnes (drums).
Mucky Pup gained notoriety within the crossover thrash and funk metal scenes, touring extensively and releasing several albums, including Can't You Take a Joke (1987), A Boy in a Man's World (1989), Now (1991), and Lemonade (1993). Their music often featured satirical and self-deprecating themes, addressing topics ranging from societal issues to everyday experiences.
The band went through periods of inactivity and lineup changes, but reunited on multiple occasions for live performances and new recordings. They remain a cult favorite among fans of 1980s and 1990s alternative metal.
