Andrés Arroyo (athlete)

Andrés Arroyo (born February 5, 1995) is a Puerto Rican middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. He represented Puerto Rico at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, competing in the 800 meters event.

Arroyo competed collegiately for the University of Florida, where he was a multiple-time All-American. During his time at Florida, he achieved personal bests in both the 800m and 1500m distances.

Prior to his collegiate career, Arroyo established himself as a prominent high school runner. He gained recognition for his performances at national-level high school track and field competitions.

His accomplishments include representing Puerto Rico in various international competitions, including the IAAF World Championships and the Pan American Games, in addition to the Olympics. Arroyo has consistently been one of Puerto Rico's top middle-distance runners.
