Biela (river)
The Biela is a river in Slovakia. It is a right tributary of the Poprad River, belonging to the Vistula River basin. It flows through the High Tatras mountain range and the Spiš region in northern Slovakia.
The river's source is located at the foot of the Belianske Tatras. It flows generally in a southwesterly direction, passing through several villages before joining the Poprad near the town of Poprad. The river is characterized by its fast current, clear water, and rocky bed.
The Biela and its surrounding area are popular for hiking, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities. Its watershed is a significant part of the Tatra National Park (TANAP), a protected area known for its diverse flora and fauna.
