White Van Man (TV series)
White Van Man is a British television situation comedy created by Adrian Poynton. It premiered on BBC Three on 5 October 2011 and ran for two series.
The series follows Ollie Curry (played by Will Mellor), who inherits his father's (played by Tony Mooney) white van and handyman business after his father suffers a heart attack. Ollie is forced to abandon his dreams of becoming a chef and return to his hometown to take over the family business, much to his dismay. He is constantly challenged by eccentric customers, his overbearing father (who micromanages the business even from his sickbed), and his own lack of enthusiasm for the job.
The show's humor derives from the clash between Ollie's aspirations and his reality, the quirky characters he encounters, and the often-absurd situations that arise while running a small business. Series two saw a cast change with Oliver Kent replacing Will Mellor in the lead role.
