Gueures

Gueures is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France.

It is located approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Rouen. The local economy is primarily agricultural, with some light industry. Historically, the area was significant for flax production.

The commune is comprised of several smaller hamlets and the main village. Its notable features include the church of Saint-Martin, and typical Norman architecture in the surrounding buildings.

The name "Gueures" is thought to derive from a Gallic or Gallo-Roman origin, although the exact etymology is not definitively known.
