Gunnaur

Gunnaur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Budaun district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Geography:

Gunnaur is located at approximately 28.37°N 78.65°E. It has an average elevation of 184 metres (603 feet). The climate is typical of the northern Gangetic plains, with hot summers and cool winters.

Demographics:

As of the 2011 Census of India, Gunnaur had a population of 22,836. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Gunnaur has an average literacy rate of 42%, lower than the national average of 74.04%: male literacy is 50%, and female literacy is 33%. In Gunnaur, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Economy:

The local economy is primarily agricultural, with sugarcane and wheat being the main crops. There is also some local commerce and small-scale industry.
