Motovilci

Motovilci is a village in the Municipality of Grad in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. It is located close to the border with Hungary.

The village is known for its traditional architecture, particularly the thatched roofs that are characteristic of the region. The local economy is largely based on agriculture.

Historically, like much of Prekmurje, Motovilci experienced periods of Hungarian rule. The dialect spoken in Motovilci is a variation of Prekmurje Slovene, a distinct dialect with some differences from standard Slovenian.
