Monk (TV series)

Monk, stylized as Monk, is an American comedy-drama detective television series created by Andy Breckman and starring Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk. The series premiered on USA Network on July 12, 2002, and concluded on December 4, 2009, after eight seasons.

The show revolves around Adrian Monk, a brilliant former San Francisco Police Department homicide detective who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and a multitude of phobias. These conditions intensified after the unsolved murder of his beloved wife, Trudy, which led to his suspension from the police force.

Each episode typically follows Monk as he consults on difficult cases while battling his personal demons and seeking clues about Trudy's death.
