Jim Williams (American football, born 1928)

James "Jim" Williams (born September 15, 1928, in Little Rock, Arkansas) was an American football player who played as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL).

Williams played college football at the University of Arkansas, where he was a standout performer. He was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals in the first round (7th overall) of the 1951 NFL Draft.

He played for the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals from 1951 to 1955. Williams was known for his hard-hitting style and strong tackling abilities. He was a consistent starter for the Cardinals during his tenure with the team.
