Luis Chávez (footballer)

Luis Gerardo Chávez Magallón (born 15 January 1996) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Russian Premier League club Dynamo Moscow and the Mexico national team.

Career

Chávez began his professional career with Pachuca in Liga MX. He progressed through the club's youth system before making his senior debut in 2016. During his time with Pachuca, Chávez established himself as a key player, known for his passing range, technique, and ability to score from distance. He played a significant role in Pachuca's Liga MX Apertura 2022 title victory.

In August 2023, Chávez transferred to Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League.

International Career

Chávez has represented Mexico at various youth levels. He made his senior international debut for Mexico in 2022. He was included in Mexico's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a memorable free-kick goal against Saudi Arabia.
