Larvik HK
Larvik HK was a Norwegian handball club from Larvik. Founded in 1990, it was one of the most successful handball clubs in Norway and Europe, particularly in women's handball.

Larvik HK was formed through a merger of several smaller local clubs. The club quickly rose to prominence in Norwegian handball, becoming a dominant force in the domestic league and cup competitions.

Larvik HK achieved significant success, including:
- Multiple Norwegian League titles (Eliteserien)
- Multiple Norwegian Cup titles
- EHF Champions League title (2010/11)
- EHF Cup Winners' Cup title (2007/08)
- Numerous appearances in the semi-finals and finals of European competitions.
Notable Players:
Larvik HK has been home to numerous prominent handball players, including several internationally renowned stars. Some examples include, but are not limited to, Heidi Løke, Gro Hammerseng-Edin, and Cecilie Leganger.
Financial Difficulties and Dissolution:
In 2019, Larvik HK declared bankruptcy and was subsequently dissolved due to severe financial difficulties. The club's financial problems stemmed from a combination of factors, including declining attendance, reduced sponsorship revenue, and unsustainable spending.
