Lev Kuznetsov (fencer)

Lev Kuznetsov (born 1 June 1930, date of death unknown) was a Soviet fencer who competed in the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics. He specialized in the sabre discipline.

Kuznetsov won a team bronze medal in sabre at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He also competed in the individual sabre event in the same Olympics but did not medal.

Four years later, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, Kuznetsov achieved greater success, winning an individual bronze medal in sabre. He also participated in the team sabre event, but the Soviet team did not reach the podium.

Kuznetsov's Olympic medals represent significant achievements in Soviet fencing history, contributing to the nation's overall performance in the sport during the mid-20th century. His contributions helped to establish the Soviet Union as a formidable force in international sabre fencing.
